Welcome back to the most beautiful block of the city, Springtime Square, an elaborate town square with food, books, and lights!

Here, you can stroll around for a walk, grab juicy burger, enjoy the shade under one of the colorful umbrellas, and visit the gem of the plaza, the bookstore!

This bookstore was the hardest building to build, simply because, I've built so many bookstores (okay, three bookstores, but still), and so I needed something to make this one stand out from the others.
Lately, I've been playing around with building models in odd shapes (such as the triangular Cheesy Cheddar Pizzeria, or the octagonal Birthday Cake Bakery, or the trapezoid shape building, The Ultimate Rainbow Ice Cream Store), and so when I build this shop, I had strange shapes in mind as a way to make it stand out from the rest. That's how this shop became a pentagonal book store, with sloped windows and great details!
The inside of this shop is pretty simple, given the incredibly tight space. There's a book shelf, and on the counter, a few trinkets for sale. Upstairs, there's a couple more stacks of books and papers, plus a few other fun trinkets! However, one of my favorite details of the store is the walls. I knew I wanted to make the bookstore and the apartment building look similar, and so I decided to make them both with pastels and colored stripes, to add more color and to make the plaza look more like a plaza, and less like just a couple buildings stacked together.

After we finish exploring the bookstore, we can head over to the apartment. This apartment is very small, with a tiny kitchen filled with the most simple appliances, and with a cake sitting on the table. But I wouldn't complain. After all, who wouldn't want to live in tiny apartment if it's located in a place like this, with food thirty seconds away, and a restful afternoon of reading just a few steps out the door?

And when the cake is all done and covered with as much frosting as it can hold, you can take a slice upstairs, grab a book, and, if you're really hungry, a burger from next door, while you enjoy your afternoon. And if you're ever bored, just step outside to the balcony, where the lights are literally hanging right above you, while the party continues down below by the plaza!
