Welcome to your typical, average city block! There's people wandering around, eating ice cream, there's a basketball hoop, and two beautifully designed buildings, but something seems to be off... the buildings are in black and white!

One day I was trying to figure out what to build, when I got the idea to challenge myself to build a city block all in black and white.

The first building I built was the one on the left. It's a nice building, with lots of curves and arches, plus a couple sharp spikes above the doorway.
And who could forget the small garden at the front, with a fence in front of it, the perfect detail to finish off a spectacular build!

Next, we'll go inside the building, to where there's a traditional office set up. This includes a computer, a stack of newspapers, a phone and a chair. While some parts of building in black and white were easier, this part was defiantly harder, since a lot of the pieces I wanted to use didn't fit the color. Still, in the end, this part of the building turned out quite well.

Next we'll go to the second building, which is also built in black and white. This building's main architectural feature is the curved grey pieces on the top of each floor, which give the building the detail it needs to be a standout. Another feature I like is the black fence against the first floor. Most of the building is white and light grey, so the black contrasts nicely.

Inside the second building is a simple kitchen, with a basic table, counter and oven and stove. I built it to look messy and disorganized, and I think it came out quite well, with the crushed egg shell on the counter, the wine bottles and all the dishes! Plus, when it gets hot, there's a small AC unit in the floor to keep the house cool!

This was a great challenge to try building a city block just out of black and white, and I hope to build something similar (perhaps in pink) sometime soon!
