The Cozy (living) Room

Unlike most of the rooms I build that have an entire house around them, this room I built by itself. Despite being by itself though, it's still one of the nicest rooms I've built.

One of my favorite details is the bookshelf. It adds a cozy feeling, with the dark brown floorboards echoing that feeling.

I also like the curtains, which are mainly a prop. When you look closely, you'll see that the couch is between the curtains and therefore they can't close. If you look around though, there are plenty examples of props in real life such as a balcony with no door to access it or a broken lawnmower taking up space in the garage.

When I finished this room, I considered adding more rooms or something like that, but I didn't want to overdo it. Just like you can add too many details to a painting, I didn't want to add too much to this. I wanted the focus to be just this small room where you can cuddle up on a snowy day with hot chocolate while reading a book, without another room taking the spotlight.

It's not meant to be fancy nor showy. Just quiet and yet nice, like a living room should be.
