Need some last minute canned food? Want some flowers? Welcome to the most colorful street in town, the Town Square Marketplace! Decorated with a building made of brilliantly bright blues, and another building with a multicolored awning, this is one amazingly fabulous place to go shopping!

Town Square Marketplace, consisting of two LEGO buildings, one with brown LEGO brick walls, and a multicolored LEGO awning, and with a red LEGO roof. The other one has blue LEGO walls with a sign advertising LEGO plants, and a purple LEGO roof. At the edge is a grey LEGO sidewalk.

This town square consists of two buildings, both unique and fun buildings. They're quirky and colorful, and if you ever need to buy anything, this place has it!

The building in a LEGO marketplace, with a colorful LEGO awning, a red LEGO roof and brick LEGO walls, a LEGO convenience store selling rations, with a LEGO apartment upstairs.

This building started with the idea to build a market square with lots of food stands and tables set up with various items for sale, plus some small buildings in the background. And while my second building ended up being larger, and without a stand set up in front of it, this building does still reflect my original vision!

The first thing I built here was the awning. I wanted it to be fun and to pop out, so I dug up my favorite colors in LEGO bricks and made them into a cute little awning. Then I build the building around it. I wanted the stand in front of the building to be the star of the show, so I made the building with simple bricks and a regular roof!

The inside of the building is also rather simple, but still with enough sparkle to make it shimmer!

On the upstairs floor, we'll start with the bed, which I made to look nice and cozy. There's a shelf with a plant, probably bought from the place next door, and a little night stand with a night light. It's a small room, yes, but it's also a fun one, and I know I would definitely enjoy curling up in that bed at night and reading books!

The downstairs reflects a similar vibe of the bedroom upstairs, in the facts that it's small, but very nice. There's rations on one side of the room, and a little checkout desk on the other side, with a few extras as well. To make this building look a little more refined, I also added tiles on the floor, just for the final touch to make it a nice building!

Plus, as if the building isn't cute enough, there's a nice stand outside to accompany it.

After we finish buying rations and such at the first store, we'll head over to the flower store for a bouquet or two!

The idea for this building originally came from another building I was making, with the same color pallet of teal bricks mixing with other shades of blue. The other building hadn't been working very week, and although the outside of it looked great, I couldn't figure out what to put on the inside that still looked good. I was just taking apart that building when I built this one, and I decided to keep the idea of using multicolored bricks and turn the store into a flower store, with blossoming flowers decorating the walls!

The inside of the store is simple, but at the same time very cute. The upstairs floor has a little bed with lots of color, of course, although I was careful not to make the bed the same color as the walls! Then, there's a pink and purple desk, just for that last splat of color. And as I did in the other store, I also tiled the floor of this store, to give it that smooth polishing touch.

And once we get in our afternoon nap, we can head downstairs, to the store part of the building. There's plants, of course, on display in all sorts of nice pots. And this store sells all sorts of flowers, not just the typical ones, as shown with the different shapes and sizes of flower bouquets. Each bouquet is unique, and I had a lot of fun digging up different leaves and flowers I've collected over the years to come up with the funnest plants I could. And I definitely like how the colors of the flowers go with the walls. If you're going to build a colorful building, you might as well put something colorful inside!

Plus, before we wrap up, a quick picture of the view from between the buildings. Who knew LEGO reflected light so much? And who can miss the fun addition of the vines from the flower shop, sneaking over the side of the building?

Anyway, in conclusion, Town Square Marketplace was a build I had a lot of fun building, and I'm very proud of myself for coming up with such a fun, poppy, colorful idea to build!

You are so creative! The flower shop looks so cute! The floor tiles really do make a difference to the buildings, adding a finishing touch that makes it look more professional and complete.
