Welcome to my first building with a LEGO motor, a LEGO roundabout, that operates on both motor and manually!

A LEGO roundabout with two LEGO mini-figures riding on it, powered by a LEGO motor and/or manual control.

The roundabout was built with both pieces and a motor from the LEGO Boost Robot and some of my own pieces.

It has two seats that are attached to the top of the spiny part, and each seat has armrests and a backrest so the mini-figures are comfortable.

A LEGO manual control for a LEGO Roundabout secured with gears.

The hardest part of this build was the mechanics for the manual spinner, which is the piece with an orange circle with a hole in it. If you spin the blue tab it is attached to, then the ride above will also spin.

The hard part about that was lining up the gears so it would spin nicely when you turned it.

There are a couple of flaws, like the fact that it only suit LEGO city mini figures, not LEGO friends, and that the rides

sometimes come off, but altogether it's a very nice build, especially for my first motorized LEGO ride, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else I can do with a LEGO motor.
