This week was the last week of 2021, and so I decided to build a calendar to sum up all the best parts of the year! But I wasn't going to do a calendar about events, no, instead, I made a calendar about all the different season, and what happens in each one!

To make all the seasons, I decided to built mini-scenes, enclosed with a white wall around each scene to make them feel more unified.

January
For January, I built a sled, speeding down a rocky hill! There's snow splashing out, steep rocks draped in ice, and lots of creaks and dents in the snow itself! Now of course in this image, the sled looks like it's about to crash into a wall, but if the wall weren't there, we can all imagine what would be a glorious and gorgeous sleigh ride down a steep hill on a sunny winter day!

February
Now it's February, and where I live, that means snow days! Lots of them! And what's better on a snow day (in my opinion) then sitting inside sipping a hot cocoa and watching the snow fall? That's why I built this little scene, with snow outside and a cute little kitchen inside, decorated with plants and a coffee cup, plus a few cute chairs!

March
A couple more days, and we flip the calendar to the next month, March! Now, the snow is starting to wind down. And although we still are getting an occasional few inches of snow and ice, it really is starting to melt, giving way to the first signs of spring, and all the beautiful early-bird flowers that come with this lovely season!

April
Now it's April! The snow has stopped, although there may be a very rare snowfall every few years in early April. Still, it's springtime, and with that comes beautiful plants, gorgeous scenery, lots of wildlife and in my family, plenty of walks! All of this is depicted in the biggest scene in all of this calendar!

May
A couple more days, and everything grows into full bloom! The flowers sway back and forth in the wind as they blossom! The birds are chirping really early! Kids no longer need to bring their jackets to school! And the trees are getting back their leaves as they bloom into a million shades of gorgeous green!

June
Soon, the month changes, and it becomes June! Which means summer break, flowers in full bloom, and ice cream on the weekends! Plus, as the scene depicts, it's picnic season again! So pack your food and your picnic blanket and your water bottle, and if you can some ice cream or cookies, and head down for a picnic in the park!

July
Now, it's July, and the middle of summer. In this season, my family normally goes on vacations, not only to far-away places, but to nearby beaches too! This scene I built to represent one nice thing I like to do, which is eat lunch at the beach, with a giant bucket of fries and an ice cold lemonade, plus a few slices of pizza!

August
All of a sudden, we'll look around and realize, it's already August! Summer is more than half-way through! But we still have time for more trips to the beach, and of course we can still get plenty of ice cream! The crabs are pinching, and the wildlife in the sea is popping it's head up to say hi, as we go to the beach a few last times!

September
School is starting up again if it hasn't yet, and the first leaves are starting to fall. Still, there are a few warm days left in the season, and bits of summer still linger! That's what this build represents, with an ice cream truck selling the last few ice creams and popsicles of the season, before it gets cold.

October
It is now officially pumpkin season! Yay! (Or boo you really like summer). There are still lots of plants out, and a few flowers, but the pumpkins are definitely growing! Along with that comes apple picking, and of course Halloween! It is now officially fall!

November
Brr! Suddenly, it's getting cold, as November has arrived! Jackets are starting to get pulled out of closets, and not many people are wearing short sleeves anymore, at least where I live. The leaves have now changed colors, going from emerald greens to bright vibrant yellow and deep orange. Thanksgiving is coming and some leaves are already falling, as depicted in this little scene, the only one with a triangle shape on the calendar! Go November!

December
And now, it is truly the most wonderful season of all, with advent calendars to open, gifts under the tree, and lights being hung all around. So deck the halls with boughs of holly and enjoy this wonderful holiday season! And before we know it, it'll be New Years Eve, and another year will have gone by, just like that!
